Satisfying

Isn't shopping your stash great? I'm making this Nora bag by Swoon Patterns with supplies I already had - minus the interfacing and stabiliser that I had to buy. And the boning I bought a few weeks back. The bird fabric I bought at least 2 years ago, probably more than 3 years ago. It doesn't fit my usual tastes at all but there was something about it that I really liked and I've hung onto it since. I actually still have about half a yard of it left. The vinyl I bought from Fabric Depot along with a couple of others and some piping. I knew it would be for bags but I didn't have this pattern yet.The lining was picked by my husband from my stash too. He originally picked a cream Basic Grey print but there was only a FQ and I needed at least half a yard, this one I bought sometime in the last year was very similar. It's nice to clear a little more shelf room! I also used a small scrap of this as a cover for the boning on the side panels since mine came without casing. I'm going to swap out the lock and the rectangle rings for copper, and I just ordered those this evening from Emmaline Bags. Hopefully I'll have a finish to show you soon.
