More-Economical Blocks

I've been having a play with some scraps, and have a way of making blocks that look a bit like Economy blocks, but they have no waste whatsoever and they're not paper pieced. The only downside is the corners get chopped off. So I decided to embrace this and add some appliqué to make it a feature, testing it on one of the four blocks...The good thing about the corners being chopped off is it isolates the secondary 1/4 square triangle blocks nicely.Now I'm deciding whether to make these blocks on point, or to make one HUGE block without appliqué to make a cushion?
