Squishy post

Other than my quilt top, I've received quite a bit of fun post lately. First up I got my neon yellow Michael Miller solid. It was stiff and pretty potent so I pre-washed it (something I never do). It's taken some of the brightness and crunchiness out but I'm a bit concerned that it's a bit lack lustre now. It's ready to be the detail in my brown quilt now! That's right, neon and brown, read it and weep.

Slightly more interestingly, I got this bundle from Pink Castle Fabrics when they had their skinny sale on. The two Lucky Penny fabrics on the top are big enough for me to make shorts, a top or a skirt from. I think I'll make a couple of skirts eventually.

Next up is this bumper charm pack from the Rainbow Charm Swap. I put in charms of Tula Pink snails and this is what I got back! Thanks to Cindy of Fluffy Sheep Quilting for organising it. I also got the green thread I need for Wallander and a bit more Heaven & Helsinki as I was 5" short to finish cutting for all of my blocks.

I got my usual issue of Popular Patchwork too, but look at what is coming up next month.... Rumour has it I will be on the front cover of the August issue and I also have a project in Sewing World during the same month ;)
