If you're fond of sand dunes and salty air....

I am super mega chuffed- I have Basic Grey's Salt Air before it has properly arrived over on the shores of the UK and it's minnnnnnne and I love it. Seriously, this is my favourite ever fabric collection and I loved Curio (I'm a massive Basic Grey fan- remember the footstool in the last post? They're Basic grey designs too) and all of the Sandi Klop/American Jane releases, but this is something very special. I only have a layer cake but I can see when I've used it up that I will be on the hunt for more of those yummy flower prints in yardage and the ones in the top right.... and maybe some others....I don't even care that I had to pay £16 customs for this little lot today. I ripped open the packet whilst stopped at traffic lights I was that giddy. It's really sad.The quilt I eventually make from it will be MINE and no one else will be allowed to borrow it unless they are very ill indeed.I also got a couple of grey prints for use in my art quilt when I get round to it, I'm just hoarding useful shades until then. Also in the picture is a charm pack of the latest Deb Strain designs called "Tend The Earth" and 2 yards of lovely Kate Spain flannel which I am going to make into the Tova top in the sew along over at Very Kerry Berry. I have the pattern and the fabric, and a teeny bit of free time tomorrow so it would be sill not to at least cut out my pieces now wouldn't it? :)If you're wanting to know where I shopped, I got all of this from Crazy Quilt Girl on eBay. She has very reasonable shipping costs and a speedy turnaround. I am very happy with her service (yes this is the second time I've shopped there now) and I will certainly be getting some top up stuff from her!If you're wondering why I'm in such a good mood (aside from getting my haul of course), I just finished artworking the next issue of Crafteroo magazine and it's been a total slog this time round so I am very pleased to have got it almost out of my hair!
